Jynell D. Berkshire is a seasoned attorney who focuses her practice on real estate, mortgage foreclosure, tax sale, and the quiet title process. For more than fifteen years, she has represented property owners, creditors, and recovery specialists claiming surplus funds, excess proceeds, and unclaimed property throughout the United States. With her passion for helping others, Ms. Berkshire developed the Surplus Funds Attorney Network to help parties navigate the complexities of those claims.
She is also a licensed real estate broker and an experienced real estate investor, and has represented clients in a variety of real estate matters — buy-sell transactions, contractor disputes, landlord disputes, mortgage foreclosure actions, tax sale challenges, and quiet title actions.
Ms. Berkshire also focuses her practice in government law, where she brings a diverse background advising both public and private sector clients. She has provided strategic and legal advice to corporations, government officials, and organizations, and represents clients before federal, state, and local governments, agencies, boards, and commissions. She has been a registered lobbyist in Washington, D.C. and the State of Indiana.
She is the Chair of Grandview Community & Economic Development Corporation, a local nonprofit that promotes and supports community and economic development initiatives throughout Indianapolis, the State of Indiana, and beyond.
